Work of art I would like to make
Further to my work in the second year where I was producing a dislocated reality by means of the aural. Part of my work this year has involved investigating this idea more visually. I began by creating small scale forced perspective models of interior spaces that when viewed through various lenses would give the illusion of a far larger space.
Fundamental aspect of the work is location. The pieces that I feel so far have been successful are the ones that are site-specific. I.e. viewing the simulated model environment in the environment itself. Given the opportunity I would like to expand also on some of the smaller more work I made for the degree show. I would like to look into new materials whilst maintaining an element of science as previous, to create a body of new work.
