Work of art I would like to make
I take an experimental approach in my practice, testing and accrediting all the stages of the making. While working on my degree show installation ‘Tixref’, I was bending wood with pressure and adhesive. While assembling the components I started to consider what if in a new installation the pressure in the process would be temporary and continually dependent on the source.
If I was selected for New Sensations I would like to make a site specific installation that applies this idea of maintaining pressure on (not yet) chosen objects so that they are kept assembled ideally from awkward angles across the walls or ceiling and ground.
Being able to work on a larger scale would allow me explore the effects of the pressure element in the work where the objects might be destroyed with excessive pressure or fragmented with the lack of pressure throughout the exhibiting time. More than stating something with a finished piece, for me it is more important to see how the piece conveys itself and how this compares with the rationale of my enquiry.
