Work of art I would like to make
Should I progress in my application for 4 New Sensations, I intend making a new series of paintings expanding on the ideas of deconstruction and discord. The paintings will appear both strange and familiar at the same time. By cultivating the paintings’ origins, the deep sense of space forms the underpinning for my enquiry regarding spatial juxtaposition. I aim to aggravate a logical reading of this sense of space and, through its ambiguity, slow down that process of interpretation. Through sustained viewing, certain elements of the paintings reveal themselves - they emerge at staggered time intervals. |
