Work of art I would like to make
There are two main issues that will have an impact on the world in twenty five years: the population explosion and the world's finite resources. Both are connected and unless drastic measures are taken now the world in Twenty five years could be a dystopian nightmare. In such a world, war and destruction are the only things which flourish.Time is running out, just like a ticking bomb. So,as a follow on from my piece 'Imprints of War' I would like to develop my ideas further and create a mixed media piece using the tiles to make the shape of a bomb exploding into fragments. I would combine differnt imprints in the clay for example, peoples faces, barbed wire, toy soldiers flying out of this shattered world. I'd like to create a 3d effect expoding from the wall into my gallery space; some fragments hanging, some suspended in space and others on the floor. |
