In her most recent work Rachel has been exploring the relationship between memory and photography, specifically with regard to the roles we expect family photographs to fufill for us. She is also interested in employing the ability of the portrait to provide us with the space and time to look closely at that which may not be clearly visible in every day life.

Work of art I would like to make
I would like to engage in a project that would work directly with my peers and young people about to make important life decisions. The process would involve discussion about where they see the world in 25 years time, both on personal and wider levels, and how they see their place and importance in the world. This project culminate in a show of photographs, video and slideshows accompanied with sound bites from the interviews. |
