Work of art I would like to make
"The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" was produced by T.S. Elliot when he was only 19, a musing of his far off old age. Taking a cue from that, we intend to incorporate his themes and imagery into an animation about our own impending deterioration in a world we have yet to see, understand or experience, creating a character who incorporates aspects of our own persons and personalities, in a future setting. Utilising an outdated technology to show imagined scenes in our future, we hope to achieve, at least atmospherically, the same feeling one gets from watching the future as imagined in films like "Metropolis" or even "Blade Runner", in the sense that even in many years onward, we can see the perceived future of the past. |
