Work of art I would like to make

We live in a society of bad health habits, junk food, chemicals, longer working hours, extended retirement age, less free time, more stress and my life is no different. As a generation, we have increased chances of getting cancer, sexually transmitted and deadly diseases. There may be a cure for such life threatening illnesses in the near future. Perhaps all we can ever hope for is increased knowledge and awareness, through health instruction diagrams, that will improve and higher survival rates. In 25 years, I will be nearing 50 and may have been unlucky enough to have suffered such illnesses, but through my art, have opened my eyes to the possibility that this may happen.

If I was lucky enough to be chosen, I would propose to create a large stained glass window of a health instruction diagram, showing how to check yourself, using the now immortalised diagram. I like the idea of exhibiting information that could potentially save your live, presented as a piece of high art, but also as a blasphemous statement. It does not disregard religion, but presents a recognised 20th Century, Atheist truth. The piece would not necessarily have to be situated within the confines of a window, but would be created using traditional techniques, thus commenting on the past, present and future.
