Work of art I would like to make
In a number of works the event on film seems to happen in an indeterminate space. Logically the viewer reads the space as an interior but the slither of focus adopted, often suggests a barren and unyielding landscape. These variations of focal length enable the audience to be both fixated with the action of an object as well as simultaneously conjuring up the impression of a distant space. This is an area which I want to explore, for that in 25 years the world will seem a lot different. The idea of using a landscape may seem surreal, as there may not be any at that time. It is not the objects that create the suspense in my work, but the narrative repercussions that they embody. In someway it relates back to,’ the world in 25 years time,' I see us as the objects and our actions will embellish what is to become.
