The wrath rolling heights of impotent ill repute,
Dispute what I have come to discover,
For verbosity is the klaxon of the mule,
And the word the lover:
You may not have the years, to lend me your ears,
So lend me your eyes instead,
For I would rather unravel these worlds you have traveled,
And relieve them from my head.
You may say that I find solace in slaughter,
Though I'll applaud her when this is done,
In haze serenade the porter,
For the rape of things to come.

Work of art I would like to make
I propose to create a new work in the same style as 'The Rape of Things to Come'; using pen and ink on a colossal sheet of white paper (2 x 3 m), I will depict a battle scene between two galleon ships. The audience will be visually rewarded from every perspective; standing back will allow them to take in the whole scene of carnage unfolding between the two ships, whereas looking closer will allow them to absorb even the grains of wood.Questions questions but never any answers. |
