Work of art I would like to make
I have several pieces that I will make anyway subject to having money which are the extention of my previous work on the oubliette. I however wish to explore ‘confined’ spaces with myself the artist as the art. The next step is a cage where upon I will film myself pleading to my audience to release me but like a zoo animal I will give the impression that I am dangerous to be let out. This draws upon the spectator culture of our society. As society is fasinated by programmes such as Big Brother. I have this idea that art should not be static and maybe even threaten the viewer and draw upon taboos such as gender blurring and even sado-masochism to ones self.
The piece would be shown as a video or a projection and ideally if circunstances allow a performance would be 'performed' to bring the artwork into reality.
