I graduated the BA architecture course in Japan. Since I was even in the course, I designed cloths, sculpture and played dance. They have a common theory between them such as surfaces and spaces. I always look for another meanings of spaces. Moreover, I try to create a new boundary between art and design. That’s more organic and more natural.

Work of art I would like to make
I attempt to combine fashion and spatial design in this project. This is a bespoke spatial chandelier. Therefore, I can arrange foams and sizes for each space. This pendant light doesn’t need any bulbs inside because it uses reflection from outside light. In my opinion, to enter spaces is to wear spaces. I feel invisible complex movements are surrounding our body. I visualize some fluid movements in a space like natural phenomena. I was inspired by shoals of fish in the sea when I dived into the sea. I used disposable plastic cutlery instead of fish because I wanted to change the sense of beauty of daily based product. Spectators should experience overwhelming views with bright reflection of massive knives. |
