Work of art I would like to make
The contemporary art world is a vessel for legitimisation and is almost too familiar to this constant scrutiny works go through to obtain an interpretation and a response. I want to reflect on this notion of ‘scrutiny’, a constant form of ‘looking’ and engagement that the audience and the artist experiences with art.
I propose to invite the viewer into an alternate space, a space of an alternate reality, a fantasy, where one may appear in many places at once. The viewer becomes the work within this space created by digital means.
This ludicrous invention of creating a space through our technological advances will be created by a live feed and projection. The live feed will record the projection and the projection will project the live feed. With this form of constant looking it will create a series of alternate spaces projected within our own space, our reality. The audience can respond to themselves and see how they can shift through several spaces and interact with the art world.
