I have a passion for colour and attention to detail, I suffer from OCD and for my degree show i deciced to put this to good use. I ditched my paintbrush for a hole punch and a pair of tweezers to recreate a modern day version of a Seurat masterpeice, containing over half a million dots. My work is based on giving a different experiences to the veiwer depending on distance viewed.

Work of art I would like to make
I would like to continue my pointillist work; using hole-punch dots instead of paint. Seurat's "Grand Jatte" is the past, in January I visited the island to see it in the present and re-created the original. If I am selected I would like to produce a third version, expanding on the development that has taken place over the last 120 years to give my view of how the island will look in 25 years time. |
