Work of art I would like to make
The art arising from the ‘world in 25 years’ time’ would address the need for action and activism through art in today’s society. I want to look at what we can do to make a difference to the world so it will still be a habitable place to live in 25 years. I would focus my work on making changes, developing ideals of re-using and recycling materials to make a work. Giving waste products a new purpose and function. The work should reach out to people and give them the opportunity to actively partake in making a difference. I would like to involve communities in the project allowing them the perspective to work within their own environment and lead to changes within their space. The work could take place in any disused site or area, in which I would like to develop to give it a new function for a community, using found or donated objects to develop the site into a working art environment. Through this work it could lead to the development of other communities taking on the initiative to change their environment for a better future.
