Royal Academy
I make temporary, site specific painting installations that use and deal with an idea of painting as opposed to painting for real. The two pieces that I am presenting are from two bodies of work that approach similar themes, such as space, surface, colour, perception, control, beauty, the spectacle and the mundane yet in what appears to be quite contacting ways. For example, where as my floor based painting instillations appear solid and mechanical, un expessionative and reflective of its surroundings, my buschstroke pieces appear fluid, gestural and pins down the space which they are placed.

Work of art I would like to make
It is difficult to say at the moment. My work is dependant on the space that brings about its existence. I have not yet seen the given space. All that I can say is that the work will be in the direction of what has been presented, that it will be fucking cool, and will kick out.
