ARBEIT, a new gallery in Islington, close to Old Street station is looking for fashion students and young fashion designers who would like to show their works in the form of a special one day pop up exhibition and networking event. The first show was held on 31 March 2012 with great success. Each designer will be able to use a certain area of the exhibition space and will have freedom how to show his/her work (fashion installation; assemblage etc). The selected designer will be required to contribute GBP 15 as administration costs. Please send us pictures and description of your work. 2012. Have we now entered the “final year” before the long-awaited Apocalypse? For many of us, this word means the complete destruction of Earth. Wars, famines, global economic crisis and natural disasters are on the news on a daily basis threatening to bring our societies to a total collapse. Because let’s face it, the Apocalypse has already arrived in many parts of the world. We belong to the very privileged that can still use art as a way of reflection.
