The degree in Visual Arts encourages to the creation of new ideas; emerging from personal reflexion and from the problematic of different contemporanean perspectives. Helping this way to the formation of the artist, with solid humanistic values and conscious to the social context.
The degree in Visual Arts offers the study of audiovisual expressions as graphic and plastic as well as teaching, curator and arts critics.

CASA ABIERTA "DIEZPIEZ" JUNIO 2007
La Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Artes y la Carrera de Artes Visuales de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador tienen el honor de comunicarle que: como parte de la celebración del 10mo Aniversario de ejercicio académico de la Carrera de Artes Visuales se realizará el proyecto cultural: Exposición Casa Abierta: "DIEZPIEZ", entre el 15 y el 23 de junio.
Parte de la propuesta es desarrollar procesos de producción colectivos para la realización del evento. Así, como resultado de la búsqueda de cada taller se gestionaron tres espacios culturales conocidos de la ciudad para el emplazamiento de las exposiciones: "El Pobre Diablo", "La Naranjilla Mecánica" y el Instituto de Cultura Hispánica (Casa de Benalcazar); el cuarto lugar de exposición es la edificación de la Fábrica "La Internacional", inmueble que está en proceso de recuperación por parte del FONSAL
