| Belgrade University
The Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, is one of the oldest and most respected schools of architecture in South East Europe. With a tradition going back more than 160 years, we strive to offer the best architectural education available.
The Faculty of Architecture is a member of the European Association for Architectural Education-EAAE, and collaborates with several other universities, including Berlage Institute (Rotterdam, Nl), RWTH (Achen, Germany), foundation Romualdo Bianco (Firenza, It), National University of Singapore (Sg), University of Skopje (FRM), University of Sarajevo (BHz), La Sapienza (Rome, It), TU (Graz, Au), l’ Ecole d’ Architecture de Grenoble and Moscow Institute of Architecture (MARHI).
The Faculty of Architecture reflects a diverse set of backgrounds with a long-standing commitment to professional practice and scholarly research.

| The fundamental premises/founding principle of the school include: recognition of the interdependence of theory and practice; understanding the basis of architecture, urban design and development as a profound response to the human condition and human experience; and respecting the disciplines of visual form and technology as a means of fulfilling/achieving the design process objectives.

The Faculty of Architecture occupies two floors in an old historic building which has been its home since 1932. It is conveniently located in the central area of Belgrade, close to the major city amenities and is well served by public transport. The cultural district of the city, and a famous bohemian quarters are within walking distance.
|
|
|
| The Faculty of Architecture consists of: the Department of Architecture, Department of Architectural Technologies, and Department of Urban Planning and Design. It is one of the largest schools of its type in the region with more than 2,000 students enrolled in B. Arch., M. Arch. and Ph.D degree programmes taught by 68 faculty staff members.

Professors from the Faculty of Architecture have also taught at other universities, both in the country and abroad. These include the National University of Singapore (Sg), University of Melbourne (Au), Victoria University (NZ), University of Auckland (NZ), the West Indies University (TT), and University of Texas (USA), as well as teaching as guest lecturers at many European and non-European universities.

Master of Architecture Programme 2008, for International Students
The overall aims of the Master of Architecture programme are to provide students with a competitive edge of advanced knowledge and skill, together with study choices that support career interests and address societal issues.
The programme’s focus is on architecture that supports amenity, sustainability, and cultural meaning. The Faculty is committed to sustaining an open-minded and creative atmosphere for the pursuit of research, to explore new forms of building and urban design, and to discover collaborative practices that nurture human potential. Our graduates recognize existing sources of knowledge but learn how to integrate their voice with others in order to influence both the art and the science of architecture.

FACILITIES
Studios: Studios are organized to respond to student needs and are accessible from 8am to 10pm every day except Sunday.
Auditorium: The 250 seats auditorium is available for ex-cathedra lectures, and presentations, Faculty or students’ meetings. Guest lectures are usually held there. The auditorium is equipped with a high tech multimedia system and has access to the Internet.
Computing Laboratory: The Faculty of Architecture computing staff maintains and supports computer and network resources to help the students, faculty, and staff perform at their best. In addition to two computer labs, they support printing, plotting, studio networking and the equipment checkout programme.
Multimedia room: The multimedia room is located in the library and is accessible on request.
Library: TheFaculty of Architecture Library includes more than 20 000 volumes, a good selection of journals and a small but burgeoning collection of CDs. Accommodation is available throughout the city and can be accessed through local real estate agencies. A list of agencies is available on request. Accommodation types and rates vary, depending on the area, size, and quality.
