Location and Getting there |
| The Faculty is located just a few miles from Bristol City Centre with easy access to the M4 and M5 motorways and park and ride buses. Bristol Temple Meads train station is a short bus ride away.

The Faculty is grouped around three Subject schools; Communication Design and Media, Design and Applied Arts and Fine Arts reflecting the diversity of the learning opportunities available. Each school has a Head who, along with a dedicated team of academic colleagues, ensure that learning opportunities meet the needs of our students.
The facilities at the Faculty are excellent and grouped around five specialist resource centres, all supported by experienced technical staff. Students have access to all of these and once introductory workshops have been successfully completed, students are free to use the facilities on an open access basis.

Academic Staff and Description |
| Students are supported by a team of over 80 academic staff as well as many visiting lecturers, each bringing with them different approaches, techniques and industry knowledge. It is through these staff that the school has establishes itself as a centre for teaching excellence.

Postgraduate courses at Bristol School of Art, Media and Design cover a wide range of subject areas resourced through the School�s Centre for Graduate Studies. MA programmes available in September 2007 are:

Students may study either part-time or full-time. Full-time study is for three semesters over 18 months, part-time study is for six semesters over three years.

Information For International Students |
We warmly welcome applications from international students to the Faculty.
A representative from the University makes regular visits to Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan and is able to view portfolios and interview students. The University also has representatives in a number of other countries. Please see www.uwe.ac.uk for further details.

| Once students have successfully completed their studies at UWE they become part of a world-wide network of former UWE students. Membership of the UWE Alumni Network is automatic on completion of your studies and is completely free. It�s a great way to keep in touch with other former students and staff.

UWE Students� Union at Bower Ashton provides a fully licensed bar, a shop as well as access to all services resident at the main Frenchay Campus.
In addition to year-round student union activities and events, UWE students make full use of Bristol�s social offering. The city is packed full of original and off-the-wall things to do with countless places to eat and drink and a diverse music scene that lives up to it�s reputation.

The University's Accommodation Service provide an excellent range of services to ensure that finding accommodation is as easy as possible.
The Bristol School of Art, Media and Design does not have any university managed accommodation on its Bower Ashton Campus but most students opt to live in the University's city centre flats in their first year.
A University subsidised bus service operates between the city centre and Bower Ashton campus.
Other student accommodation can be found in privately managed houses. The Accommodation Services office has a list of registered landlords and properties which can be accessed by students. Areas of the city with good access to Bower Ashton campus and the city centre include: Ashton, Bedminster, Clifton, Hotwells and Southville.

| Applications for full time places should be made through UCAS Route A or Route B. Applicants are selected through an Admissions/Interview session where they may be required to show a collection of their creative work or undertake an individual interview. Visit our website for more information
