| Ilya Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute Of Fine Arts, Sculpture And Architecture
The Arts Academy was founded in 1757 and is the largest arts educational institution and one of the most important scientific centers in Russia. For almost two and a half centuries the Academy has been promoting the traditional and classical fine art of Russia and plays a key part in the preservation of its native style. Presently there are more than seven hundred students during the day and over five hundred attending evening courses at the Academy. About 100 professors, associate professors, and 60 teachers teach at the Academy. The Academy has 5 faculties: Fine Art, Graphic Arts, Sculpture, Architecture, and Art Theory and History.
The Library of The Russian Fine Arts Academy is the oldest art library in Russia. During the first decades of the Library's existance many important books on painting, sculpture and architecture and on adjacent and subsidiary brunches of art such as anatomy, perspective and so on were acquired by the Library. | Graduates of the Repin Institute may be qualified as artist, theatrical artist, restoration artist with the restoration category, graphic artist, sculptor-artist, architect-artist, or arts specialist.

The following workshops and departments can be found within the faculties:
Fine Arts Faculty (Dean Professor Vladimir S.Pesikov)includes: Monument Painting, Easel Painting, Theatrical Decorations, Church and Historical Painting, Painting Restoration and Painting and Composition Departments.
Graphic Arts Faculty (Dean Prof. Vladimir Vetrogonsky)includes: Easel Graphics and Book Graphics.
Sculpture Department (Dean Prof. V.A.Engelke).
Architecture Faculty (Dean Senior Teacher Mikhail U.Severov)includes: History and Theory of Architecture and Engineering and Building Subjects.
Art Theory and History Faculty (Dean Prof. Gleb N.Pavlov ) includes: The Arts Theory and History Faculty and Foreign Arts.
There is also a Painting Restoration Workshop
led by Professor Michail Devjatov. The workshop was founded in 1971. Since its beginning it has been it has been known as the best finest school of painting restoration in Russia.
The workshop offers certifications in: preservation and restoration of oil and classic russian tempera painting (6 years with a choice of specialization after first two years of training).

To enter Saint Petersburg State Repin Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture it's essential to have a certificate of secondary education and special skills in arts.

To enter Saint Petersburg State Repin Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture it's essential to have a certificate of secondary education and special skills in arts.
The level of an entrant is checked according to the program of the Institute.
Entrants have to submit the following works:
For Painting and Graphics Faculty: Drawing: a head of a man, a nude, Painting: a still life, a portrait, a nude, a composition.
For Sculpture Faculty: Drawing: a head of a man, a nude, Sculpture: a head of a man, a nude, a composition.
For Architecture Faculty: a drawing of an antique head, an interior drawing, an urban scenery, a still life.
Departments discuss the possibility of an entrant to study in Saint Petersburg State Repin Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. If decision is positive the invitation (thanks to it entry visa is granted) will be sent to an entrant.
