Academia non Grata has facilities in both Pärnu and Tallinn department.
Those cities are located in Estonia, north-east Europe, between Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Russia. Tallinn is the capital of Estonia (ca 400 000 inhabitants), Pärnu is fifth biggest town in Estonia (ca 45 000 inhabitants), famous for its beautiful beach and resorts, located 130 km south-west from Tallinn.

| Academia Non Grata provides sufficient material and spiritual resources, thus enabling creative activities such as performance art, installation, painting, literature, design, graphics, digital photography and video.

Information For Undergraduates |
Possibilities:
Pre graduate studies - regular classes will be held in case of gathering enough people. Otherwise individual work, consulting with teachers and participating on workshops.
Fee: on individual agreement depending on time period, individual demands and space conditions.

Send us your working plan and examples of works (no more than 2MB, better link) and personal data (name, age, country, previous education).

Academia Non Grata
Address: Suur-Posti 16, I floor, Pärnu, Estonia.
Description: Old wooden house with Academia Non Grata on upper floor and second-hand shop and soup kitchen on ground floor. Nearby are open air market, small shopping center and hardware store. 10 min walking to the center and bus station, 20 min to the beach.
Studio spaces:
Common studio: 100 m2
2 studios: ca 20 m2
1 studio: ca 30 m2
Well-lighted studios with wooden floors are perfect for painting, writing, printmaking, computer work, installation, performance.
Gallery space: In Pärnu are several art and cultural institutions where is possible to present works. For exhibitions we need to have necessary information in advance.
Equipment: Simple tools (hammer, pinces, saw, electricity stuff, metal cutter, drill etc). Intaglio printing press. Internet connection.
Equipment for fee: Digital photo and video equipment, post production and editing.
Living conditions: WC, kitchen with fridge and warm water. No shower, nearby is a public sauna. Stove heating. Beds, mattresses, blankets, pillows. Stove heating.

- To have creative cooperation with Nongrata group and other residents
- To use existing mental and material environment for creative activities
- To take part on festivals and events organized by Nongrata
- In the case of good creative chemistry to take part in Nongrata performances
- To take part in the courses and workshops of Academia Non Grata (some are free, some cost ca EUR 50-100 per workshop)
- To get private consultation from Academia Non Grata professors

Students are expected to
- Be engaged in creative activities
- Inform organizers about their plans and activities
- Contribute mentally and creatively into Non Grata activities and creative environment
- Pay for teaching and using equipment as agreed
- Follow the internal procedure rules of Academia Non Grata
