| The Americas Biennial Exhibition
The Americas Biennial Exhibition helps to introduce the public to contemporary prints and printmaking from around the world. It also serves to support the collection of works within The Americas Biennial Exhibition Archive. The Americas Biennial Exhibition & Archive is a non-profit, all-volunteer, fine arts endeavor that helps to introduce the public to contemporary prints and printmaking from around the world. Since 2003, The Americas Biennial Exhibition has gathered an international survey of contemporary miniature & small prints showcasing works selected from around the world. From among approximately 4,000 submissions to date, the works of 166 exhibiting artists represent 49 nations and a variety of print mediums, from traditional to digitally informed.
The Americas Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Prints & Printmaking also serves to support the collection of works within The Americas Biennial Exhibition Archive while making them available for academic research, museums, artists, and art students. The Americas Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Prints & Printmaking is initially exhibited at The University of Iowa’s Project Art Galleries in Iowa City, Iowa, and thereafter becomes an international traveling exhibition for a period of up to two years.

Selected from approximately 1300 entries, 79 works from 70 exhibiting artists represent 36 nations and a variety of print mediums, from traditional to digitally informed. Jury selections for the 2008 Americas Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Prints were announced on Monday, September 1, 2008.
All works entered are submitted before a committee of jury members for exhibition selection and distinguished jurors invited to participate are established professionals from a diverse selection of art disciplines. The scheduled selection committee in 2008 includes Léo Lee & Jon Lee from Trinity University, Anita Jung, & Tom Christison, from the University of Iowa’s School of Art & Art History, Roberta Weston from Austin Community College's Art History Department, Janine Gwaltney from Austin's Secret Society of Artists, as well as Rahat Sodaev from Kirkwood College's Arts & Humanities Department.
