Every year since its opening in 1996, the LISTE - the Young Art Fair in Basel has presented new and important galleries and highly contemporary young art. The LISTE's concept of introducing galleries in general no more than 5 years old and artists under 40 has been at the heart of its being one of the most important fairs for young art and still being considered one of the art world’s most important discoverer fair

The goal of our fair is to introduce new, international galleries, which represent the spirit of our times, and show trendy young artists. The LISTE sees itself as complementing the Art Basel. With our favourable conditions, we give new galleries with their young art the chance to participate in the most important art fair week and to play a part in the international market.
Every year, hundreds of galleries are interested in reserving an exhibition space at the LISTE.
The deadline for applications in in January 2010
The selection
All new admittances are decided upon by the selection committee, which consists of curators, museum persons and
the fair managers. They select participants according to criteria which are qualitative and in line with the fair’s concept.
Applicants will be informed of the LISTE committee’s decision by email. The committee is not required to justify decisions to the applicants.
