Artist! When making your Art, What are your motivations?

Hi, everybody, i am an artist, middle age women, french.
Went to Frieze and to Affordable and found in both a real lack of clear motivation from most of the artist.
the motivations I could see were
" I am going to use my little brain to manipulate" and make profit
"I am already someone in the field of art so lets be lasy", will get the dividend anyway.
"I do not know what I am doing and why but the public might know", lets pray..for acceptance.
I tell you what motivates me
The need to draw, paint to record and transmit what I want to give to a public of the same sensitivity of mine. In order to give him a special experience, positive most of the time.
Or I will use my art to get rid of things, images, feelings ect..
Or I will use it in order to get a better understanding of something.
I do not say that all artist are disonest, not at all, but I would like very much to know your motivation, in order to be able to understand better the actual field of art.
If you want to see my work on saachi online
at Lorraine Fossi
all kind of feedback are welcome

As an artist I like happy endings. But I do not tink it is dishonest to make work when

"I do not know what I am doing and why but the public might know", lets pray..for acceptance."

Many artists make work people liek without knowing precisely why people liek their work. Does an actor know why a murderer kills? Truly there are somethings no one can fully fathom.

Many things, like happy endings, are lost in translation!

But it is true that much art is made by charlatans, imbeciles, egotists, vagrants, psychopaths, degenerates, lab rats, aliens, dogs, hyenas, harpies and worse!

Do not let it concern you. Art fairs are merely market, and markets attract birds in need of feather. Fly home and make the work you think the market needs to sleep with.

yo lorry pussy!

also do not forget to paste your link next time. it will be easier for us to dissect your motivations after havin a look at your cut piece.

(at least i am more honest than that blabberin kiekergargled mouthpish mendicant who appears so so concern-ed)

Motivation to make Art? Hummmmm....is it not the poetic metamorphosis from thought to feeling or from feeling to thought during the creative process that constitutes the work?

Is it not that satisfaction in which art exceeds the sum of both the feelings or the thought that was invested in a work and of themselves.

Of course this art would imply and demand reflection. Simply not turning up on appointment or opening the car door and vomiting on the pavement with proclamation will not succeed to rediscover itself as a non-gibberfest where ultimately visual product is the non-word, besides things like Bodkin de rigeur reading lists, spotter scores, a tasteful Table, listings, indexing, the whole belchin’clepsydric blubbablub.

Nor should motivation denaturate into a conveyor belt of trippin’dippy partylines such as breezing out hot-aired Recognition, Focus, Kant, Lost in Translation, Wittgenwoofter, Lorca. Alas, all these are by some seen as undisposable part of that which art theory nowadays passes for argument to hold up a cantilevered edjie wise-like IKEA nomenclature.

Yet more motivating is the awareness that exceeeds the merely romantic flattened grass smoked by Big Bertha McTavish, Aunt Jessie or that smouldering boobfest Elke Somner.

It is that undefiniteness that is causing some spekky drippy blabberin’lardass participants who tend to attack, that STILL they can't even draw breath nor launch any suitabable puff of quote.
