OOPS! BANKSY did it again ...

"Phaidon Top 500 Artists of the 20th Century" poll scam?

Hi
I've noticed that Constantin Brancusi had OVER 20.000 votes during the last weekend. Today, he has over 14.000 votes, so the number of votes decreased by over 6.000.

So.... wtf?

Thanks.

By mmarza

marza, it is like goebbels said: "the bigger the lie is, the more will believe in!" or "the truth is what everybody will believe in!"

this list stinks of manipulation from here to tibet!

phaidon payed the admins for "regulate" the voting into something as we all would expect it ... but than banksy and his friends came up with voting for an total (i guess everybody is asking for "who is this constantin brancusi idiot ?!...) outsider over night like hell to confuse the phaidon bosses and the press outside. because the situation now is, that as long as this outsider is on unbelievable number one, everybody will see that the whole list is a big major fake and just time wasting crap for the clowns here at the saatchi circus ... hey THE GUARDIAN, FRANKFURTER R SCHAU, NEW YORK TIMES, ... go on and print the PHAIDON LIST! the only thing you will earn are seas of tears of laughter ... like we all in here still cry since weeks!

I'm astonished at just how many dumb fucks fail to realise that this Banksy wipe is no more than a stupid joke & cash generating machine/business

seems a little over the top, there were graffitti artists around before your man, most of whom are equeally unknown, there are all those graphic arts americans on the hippy side of life, all of whom were ofay with the stencil, dare one mention mr warhol. graffittists use the stencil for speed and ease, how different is that to a screen print.
Banksy has just become the visible head of a considerable body of work, he is famous because he has played the game exceptionally well and he is witty, he also has some compositional skill, his work is better than your french guy so why shouldn't he have some success, the world moves on.
