The third Monopol Edition/Die dritte Monopol Edition

Anselm Reyle is one of the most important young artists dealing with abstraction and formalism. Topics that were believed to be done within the modernist age, are now getting new attention by artists that work with matters and associations of our time. Reyle, born 1970 in Tübingen, Germany, uses for his reliefs, paintings and sculptures artificial materials like PVC-foil, acrylic, mirror or concrete. New Reyles are currently on view in his gallery Giti Nourbakhsch in Berlin. In autumn, the artist participates in the exhibition "Painting in Tounges" at MOCA inLos Angeles.

Anselm Reyle ist einer der wichtigsten jungen Künstler, die sich mit Abstraktion und Formalismus auseinandersetzen. Themen, die man mit dem Zeitalter der Moderne erledigt glaubte, erhalten durch Künstler wie ihn neue Impulse, indem er mit Materialien und Assoziationsräumen der Gegenwart arbeiten. Reyle, geboren 1970 in Tübingen, benutzt für seine Reliefs, Bilder und Skulpturen künstliche Stoffe wie PVC-Folie, Acryl, Spiegel oder Beton. Neue Reyles sind gerade in seiner Galerie Giti Nourbakhsch in Berlin zu sehen, im Herbst ist er u.a. in Los Angeles im MOCA bei der Ausstellung "Painting in Tounges" vertreten.
