Marcelo Jácome

Marcelo was born in 1980 in Rio de Janeiro where he currently lives and works.
In 2005 he graduated in architecture and urbanism at Universidade Santa Ursula.
Marcelo started a painting course in 2001 at the artist Cristina Mathias´ studio.
In 2009 he continued his research attending classes at Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage with João Magalhães and Iole de Freitas.
He developed his artistic language through collages, objects and installations. His work takes into consideration the relations between lines and curves, places and voids, inside and outside, for dissolution of form and the autonomy of the color.
