I am a big believer in good music in the studio, or out and about while photographing on location.
In the studio I am hooked on listening to a couple great radio stations streaming them online.
One is KEXP from my hometown of Seattle. They are a highly innovative station that is always turning me onto new bands, etc.
The other is KCRW in Santa Monica. They have a great dj in Nic Harcourt, a Brit who has a daily show called "Morning Becomes Eclectic". He is a serious music trend-setter turning many including myself onto the newest
best folks. Both KCRW and KEXP have podcasts so you can take the stations out on your IPOD (did I just promote Apple?!).
Right now I'm listening to a lot of Neko Case, Jose Gonzalez and a Mexican singer named Lila Downs. Good stuff.
