What do artists listen to in their studios? The radio, their iPod favourites or nothing at all? We asked a range of artists to let us know what sounds they tune in to when they're in the studio, or at any stage in their work. First up, Richard Prince and Ed Templeton - more to follow over the next few weeks.
RICHARD PRINCE

Right now I'm listening to the new Sonic Youth album. It hasn't come out yet. It's a pre-release copy they sent me. In between I'm listening to Glenn Gould and Jeff Tweedy and a re-release of a Flammin Groovies album.
Richard Prince is represented by Barbara Gladstone, New York, and Sadie Coles, London.
