Martin Creed's latest work Sick Film will premiere on Friday 13 October at the Curzon Mayfair cinema. In the film Creed transforms the violent and repulsive physical act of vomiting into an elegiac performance. Against a plain white backdrop that acts like a canvas, this involuntary impulse is performed by several anonymous people, each time the gesture of vomiting that they enact remaining the same. In keeping with Creed's work, which frequently operates beyond the usual boundaries of art making, chance and spontaneity are central to Sick Film.
