OPPORTUNITY FOR ARTISTS TO WORK IN AN ADVERTISING AGENCY

The advertising company Wieden + Kennedy London has set up a talent scheme that gives four people from outside of the advertising world the chance to be part of Wieden + Kennedy London for 3 months. 'We believe that good ideas can come from anywhere. We want to give bright, curious and enthusiastic people the opportunity to prove us right. And maybe to learn a few things from us along the way,' says Creative Director Tony Davidson. 'WK Side is our way of opening up advertising, because we feel that the best advertising agencies aren't just staffed with people who only know advertising. And we think that people on the outside could maybe teach us a thing or two.'

Over 3 months, the four people chosen will work on a broad range of projects, including live briefs, pitches and in-house briefs and experience all aspects of advertising along the way. From planning to creative to account management. Two successful WKSide seasons have already take place and have been a valuable experience for everyone involved. WK Siders have even won a Silver Pencil at D&AD for work done during their time at Wieden + Kennedy London.

This time Wieden + Kennedy London are specifically looking for new interactive digital talent - people who can create new ideas which transcend into multiple channels (a website, banner, game, interactive installation, or better yet - something new that doesn't fit into any category). To apply all you have to do is create a response, in any digital format, to the question 'can anything be beautiful?'. And send a link with your answer to WKSide3@wk.com .

Submissions must be sent no later than 15 June 2007 and chosen applicants must be available for interviews, in London, during the week of 18 June 2007. If successful applicants need to be available to start their 3 month stint from 02 July 2007. Applicants will be paid for the 3 months and will receive mentoring and training throughout their time at Wieden + Kennedy London. If you are not a resident of the UK you will need to have a valid working visa up till December 2007.

Wieden + Kennedy London is a part of the independent Wieden + Kennedy worldwide network. International clients include Nike, Electronic Arts, Coca Cola, Starbucks and Sharp. UK clients include Honda, Nike, Emeco, Nokia, Electronic Arts, Space.NK, The Guardian, Lurpak, Cravendale, Pizza Hut and Wales Tourist Board.
