A couple of great new limited editions have been produced ion conjunction with the New Museumin New York. 'Little Friend' by Mike Kelley is in an edition of 800. This plush toy has plastic eyes, felt hands and feet, is 480 mm tall and it talks too with a repertoire of 20 phrases such as "Hurt Me, I Don't Mind!" and "Do You Really Love Me?". 'Little Friend' is just $200.
Anish Kapoor has designed the perfect Backpack in collaboration with Tumi. A contemporary interpretation of a traditional doctor's bag, Kapoor's ingenious design features a solar panel for charging phones and other gadgets, removable compartments and pockets (including a laptop sleeve), an electric adaptor, and sections customized to hold documents, a camera, a flashlight, and a water bottle. The bag is made from ballistic nylon with silver lining, and each of the 500 bags in the edition bear Kapoor's stamp. (Dimensions: 16" X 12.5" X 9"; interior laptop compartment dimensions: 13" X 10" X 1.25"). The bag is priced at $695.
