As part of our continuing efforts to promote Saatchi Online artists, Saatchi Online will be presenting a selection of UK-based artists registered on the site at this year's SCOPE art fair in London this October. This follows our huge success promoting and selling the work of Saatchi Online artists at the Zoo Art Fair in London in October 2007, at FORM London in February 2008, at PULSE New York in March 2008, and at SCOPE Basel 2008 in June 2008.
The Saatchi Online artists invited to exhibit their work at SCOPE London will be UK-based and will be chosen from our weekly Saatchi Online Magazine Critic's Choice and Top 10s. We will promote and sell their work at the fair on a non-commission basis; all money from sales will go directly to the artists.
Building on the success of its international art fair program, SCOPE Art Fair returns to London this year for its fourth SCOPE London art fair, which will take place at Lord's Cricket Ground from 15-19 October. Situated directly across from Regents Park, SCOPE London's 42,000 sq-ft, multi-leveled glass box pavilion is within walking distance of Frieze. Serviced by VIP cars, shuttle, and pedicab, SCOPE London will present its most international fair focusing on emerging galleries from all over the world.
Alongside featured curation, screenings, and special projects, SCOPE London is a flagship invitational fair chosen by an elected selection committee. Each committee member will be a representative from a particular city or region, inviting the most significant emerging galleries, curators, and artist projects, striving to scout the most emerging contemporary talent. SCOPE's 75 international exhibitors will uphold its unique tradition of one-person and thematic group shows, bringing visitors a real-time international survey of the emerging contemporary art world available nowhere else.
Consistently redefining what an art fair is, SCOPE Art will introduce Museum Presents, a non-
commercial exhibition space in the SCOPE London 2008 hall focusing on emerging contemporary art market trends. Concentrating on emerging talent from India, North Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar, and Indonesia, SCOPE's second edition of Museum Presents will feature China.
