Offers a BURSARY IN ART AS ENVIRONMENT
Art as Environment: 2D into 3D
An artist at the beginning of their career to work with schools and the community to investigate, interpret and produce artwork which embraces 2D design and painting as well as 3D forms using both urban and rural landscape environments as inspiration.
To work with schools and the community for approximately 100 days – 80 days contact time with students and 20 days preliminary planning undertaken before the bursary begins. It is expected that the appointed artist will use this bursary experience also to develop their own artistic practice.
Fee: in the region of £10,000

New Online Applications now available - applicants to the Bush Foundation’s 2009 Bush Artist Fellowships will be able to submit online applications for the first time. In addition, the Bush Artist Program will take applications beginning in March 2009, for grants under the Dakota Creative Connection (DCC) initiative for Dakotas-based artists, which is entering its second year. For 2009, artists may apply for a fellowship or DCC grant in five categories: literary arts, music composition, performance-based work, script works, and traditional and ethnic performing arts.
Dakota Creative Connections, an initiative of the Bush Artist Program, combines project grants and professional development programs. To be eligible, artists must be at least 21 years of age and have resided in North or South Dakota for the past two years. Applications for DCC grants will be available in March 2009 at www.bushfoundation.org. Full-time students in degree-granting programs are not eligible.
