The winner of the October Saatchi Online Studio competition is Pixo Hammer from Toronto in Canada. Rebecca Geldard, Saatchi Online London correspondent, comments: 'I like the deft linear quality of Pixo Hammer's mutant Jellybaby society, which brings to mind the hiphop graphics of Keith Haring and the dystopic cartoon narratives of Mrzyk & Moriceau.' The Saatchi Gallery will donate £500 in the artist's name to a children's hospital of his choice.
BILL ROBERTS TO JUDGE NOVEMBER'S SAATCHI ONLINE STUDIO COMPETITION
The critic and Saatchi Online magazine contributor Bill Roberts will judge the November Saatchi Online Studio competition. Saatchi Online Studio enables artists to create works online using a sophisticated palette of colours, brushes and other materials. Anyone is free to create and save as many paintings or drawings as they wish in Your Studio either in their own name or anonymously. We will announce the winner of the November Studio competition, as chosen by Bill Roberts, on Friday 28 November. The Saatchi Gallery will then donate £500 to a children's hospital around the world chosen by the winner.
