TREVOR BELL STUDIO VISIT
Trevor Bell was born in Leeds in 1930 and studied at the College of Art there. In his twenties, working in West Cornwall, Bell made his reputation as a leading member of the younger generation of St Ives artists. In the early 1970s Bell became Professor for Master (Graduate) Painting at the Florida State University, staying there for over 20 years. Bell returned to Cornwall in the 1990s and continues to live and work there. Artist Trevor Bell shows us his Cornish studio and talks candidly about what inspires him to paint. OLAF BREUNING'S MANHATTAN STUDIO
Coolhunting.com pays a visit to Swiss artist Olaf Breuning's Manhattan studio. In the midst of working on his two-part installation for the Whitney Biennial 2008, Olaf takes the time to explain his inspiration and thinking behind his mini army made of readymade objects and a recreation of a 1932 photograph. There's also plenty of examples of his other playfully absurd photographs, videos and sculptures as well as a few comments about how materials spark his creativity, pop culture and the differences of working out of a place of pleasure vs. struggle.

RICHARD DUPONT'S NEW YORK STUDIO
Coolhunting.com pays a visit to the Manhattan studio of Richard Dupont whose distorted replicas of the human body were recently on view at Lever House in New York. In this video he unmolds one of his sculptures made using military scans, and explains his process and some of the ideas that inform his work.

MATTHEW DAY JACKSON PART 2
Saatchi Online's Adam Mendelsohn visited the Brooklyn studio of Matthew Day Jackson shortly before the opening of two exhibitions of new work by the artist in New York. Peter Blum Gallery is showing 'Terranaut' until 1 November, and an installation of drawings at Nicole Klagsbrun until 18 October.

A VISIT TO THE STUDIO OF ARTIST AND PUBLISHER PHONG BUI
James Kalm brings viewers a surprise studio visit with Brooklyn Rail publisher and artist, Phong Bui. With little to begin with, besides a passionate love for art and artists, Phong has guided the Rail from an amateurishly youthful experiment, to become one of New York City's most influential newspapers presenting an unpretentious "critical perspective on arts, politics and culture." During this brief visit, Phong talks about his interview techniques, we view Jonas Mekas' "The Song of AVILA", peak at Phong's portrait project, and discuss the mission of the Brooklyn Rail.
