ERWIN WURM AT CRISTINA GUERRA, LISBON
|
|
'In the end, art deals with the difficulty of coping with life - be it by means of a philosophy or a nutritional diet,' Erwin Wurm. If you're in Lisbon don't miss the Austrian artist's exhibition of playful sculptures which also attempt a more serious critique of the formalist legacy of modernism. The exhibition also includes a series of recent colour photographs documented in a new book about Wurm's work, entitled The artist who swallowed the world, which is published by Hatje Cantz to coincide with this touring exhibition.
