Matthew Collings discusses the work of Picasso and Braque, and the relationship between cubism and abstract expressionism of the 1950s and in particular to the works of key figures in New York at the time such as Jackson Pollock. This film, from Collings' Channel 4 series 'This Is Modern Art', includes footage of Picasso in his studio, the Picasso museum in Paris and MoMA, New York.
