The beginning when Bacon is walking thru the crowd is great. Very special documentary. The ending is beautiful when Francis fidgets with his watch and comments that he never thought he could make a living from his paintings and would have to get a job to support his work. Thank God he was wrong. dan adams/dannnnnnna 25-10-2009 |

I think that it was really very hard to inspect bodymovement before camera. It is nearly impossible to see properly. There is this expression of struggle, agony and pain, maybe anger, the feelings that we might hide that are not allowed to express their full power and destroy. But it happens in the wartime. I think that his homosexuality that in this document does not hit at all was a mistake that would be interested to think how it really affected in his work. It must have done in some way. All this shame and stigma you deal with. Anger beeing outcast? Well 23-05-2009 |

I can hear what he is saying, but I never feel satisfied when I hear him talk, like its missing the point. For every question he has a vague and smug answer. TCP 17-05-2009 |

There's no real need for artists to explain themselves as clearly as others would like. Bacon is a good example of this Mr Big Face 17-05-2009 |

A very imaginative artist...inspired by the traumas, exsertions and dynamics of the human form...I love his work and his attitude towards art. Geoffrey Cervantes. 17-05-2009 |
