TREVOR BELL STUDIO VISIT
Trevor Bell was born in Leeds in 1930 and studied at the College of Art there. In his twenties, working in West Cornwall, Bell made his reputation as a leading member of the younger generation of St Ives artists. In the early 1970s Bell became Professor for Master (Graduate) Painting at the Florida State University, staying there for over 20 years. Bell returned to Cornwall in the 1990s and continues to live and work there. Artist Trevor Bell shows us his Cornish studio and talks candidly about what inspires him to paint. I've long admired his work but it was so interesting to be'shown'around his studio and to hear his own thoughts on his work. It added another dimension. Also, what a nice bloke!

I enjoy very much the visit to Trevor Bell studio. His vitality, which is part of his work, his looking for new things and experimentation, the flow of color and forms which make his work beautiful. Josefina Aguirre Liaño
