SERAPHINE – THE TRUE STORY OF ONE OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY’S GREATEST ARTISTS
Winner of seven French Academy awards, including Best Picture, the critically acclaimed Séraphine is the incredible true story of the artist, Séraphine Louis.

In the early 1900s Séraphine worked as a cleaner in Senlis, a small town outside Paris and for many years painted in the evenings in secret until her work was eventually discovered by a German art collector and brought to public attention. However, Séraphine struggled for the rest of her life with her gift and the success that it would bring her. A passionate, inspiring and deeply moving drama, Séraphine is released in UK cinemas on 27 November 2009.

It's not the 'artistic quality' it's always the media or external factors that make artists. Any person involved in art making needs to be fortunate to receive favour from media or reach the critics.
