MARK MCGOWAN'S RE-ENACTMENT OF THE MURDER OF JEAN CHARLES DE MENEZES
On Saturday, 29 November 2008, British artist Mark McGowan will re-enact the murder of Jean Charles de Menezes, the Brazilian man living in south London who was shot dead on 22 July 2005 at Stockwell tube station by unnamed Metropolitan Police officers. The Metropolitan Police later issued an apology, saying that they had mistaken Menezes for a suspect in the previous day's failed bombings and acknowledging that Menezes in fact had no explosives and was unconnected with the attempted bombings. The officers involved in killing Menezes have not been charged. This is a trailer of the live performance which willt ake place on Saturday 29 November 2008.

That was a horrible event. I not sure what the purpose of the police is anymore but I'm pretty sure it's still to prevent crime not commit it. Racism within the police makes it difficult for civilians to not be considered racist too. I've got better things to worry about and so should they.

Can anyone tell me, was Jean Charles Menezes the only one killed on the underground that year? Because I haven't heard anything about anyone else over the last couple of years. Oh! I know, it's because I live abroad.
