Learn how to make a book in a day. Come to the Saatchi Gallery for this special workshop that combines the art of book-making with the opportunity to express yourself in paint. The hardback, blank-paged, A6 book you make will have a hand-painted cover, coloured endpapers and a hand-stitched text block made from exotic recycled paper. The workshop is a fabulous introduction to the making of books and to the painting techniques of Expressionist art. Equipment used is non-specialist, so you can continue book-making at home, and step by step illustrated online tutorials are exclusively available to help you.
"Thank you for a really enjoyable day. I keep thinking about it and how many more books I can make. Now I have the link to the online tutorials there will be no stopping me!" Ida Montague, course participant on the Saatchi book-making course
