| Bonaire is an island in the Netherlands Antilles, 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela. One third of the island has been dedicated to the production of salt. Hawkins says that a lifelong interest in the built landscape led to his study of landscape architecture. "As a photographic artist my interest lies in the marks and forms we make as we cultivate the land." His images show near perfect scale and beauty. |
