| The focus of the intallation is on the production of signs and systems that articulate the world in a society driven by consumerism. Closky achieves this by creating tenthousand entertainment channels for the Internet, each a short program shown in a loop. Viewers are able to access any of the channels through a numeric control panel. The inordiante number of channels exposes the impotence of viewers who, despite the interactive nature of the installation, are left with very little control. |
