| Monica Van Asperen’s images are built using two metaphors, the first relating to clothing, the other to architecture. She combines photography, space, object and sound, while exploring the body’s limitations through play, and sometimes ritual. The artist transforms her photos into inner spaces that, in time, turn into objects. Others can then use these objects to play and inhabit. |
