“I thought this painting would be an easy one to paint as it doesn’t have water, usually the more difficult time consuming aspect to capture. But because of the large amount of autumn color, I had to slowly walk my way through the placement of the leaves, as it easily could have developed into an undistinguishable glob. I carefully had to make sure each receding tree appeared to be behind the others, or any perspective of distance would be lost. I also feel the French style frame is a beautiful compliment to this painting, with the delicate embellishments around the edges being a wonderful enhancement to the overall presentation of the artwork.”
