| Zhu Liang:”Making up stories….out of nowhere”
A freed creation of images of the fundamental legends of Chinese identity through a reinvented aesthetic.
Zhu Liang offers to us a journey to his imaginary world. He has reformed the fundamental myths of the creation of the world through his own aesthetic.
Men are once again in a direct face to face with nature, without any of the artifices of civilization. Our gaze is drowned in the elements of water, air and earth.
He wants to plunge us back in the universal harmony of the baby that floats in amniotic fluid.
In other times, he describes the ambivalent relationships that humans may have with their environment. The harmony seems then to disintegrate, as we are confronted to the universal fear of the animals incarnated in his paintings. Have we then become the predators or the victims?
