Each mat in the Underfoot series takes it's number from an overlooked, walked on, source: 800 = the approximate number of unwanted canvas' in Van Gogh's studio / 1775: unpublished Emily Dickinson poems/ - 2004 a memorial for the 8,000,000 who died from poverty related causes in 2004.
