Art work Description:
The artist paints only those images he remembers from his experiences from 1940s to early 1960s. Independence, Korean war, and those years of despair, poverty, reconstruction all provide inspiration to his art. He wants to remember those years through his paintings, and also they are a therapy to the trauma caused by the war. Orphaned in the middle of Korean war in 1950, his self-taught paintings move us by their naive appproach and unique perspective to art, and most of all, true heart.
